Track of the Week: To The Bone – Bombay Bicycle Club

You can never rely on Bombay Bicycle Club to keep themselves to a constant sound but who would complain? Just after the release of their 4th album So Long, See You Tomorrow the Crouch End guys have made a swift return back to their acoustic-filled Flaws days with this special recording of ‘To The Bone’ for Watch Listen Tell. They’re joined by drummer Suren de Saram’s dad – Rohan de Saram -who is famous himself for being a world class cellist which makes this stripped back appear even more personal for the band which pours out heartfelt emotion from guitarist/vocalist Jack Steadman throughout.

Much like ‘Towers’ and ‘Beg’ it’s one of their songs which wouldn’t fit on the album so instead of being thrown out for good they’ve released it for Record Store Day as a limited edition 7″ with ‘Reign Down’ as the B-side. Check out the session for Watch Listen Tell below.
